A dispersion system refers to a mixed system in which one or more particulate materials are dispersed in a fluid material. Today, dispersion systems are widely used in almost all industrial fields such as petrochemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, coatings, pigments, batteries, vaccines and so on. Under actual storage conditions, it is important to quickly determine the long-term stability of the dispersed system in the shortest time. The static multiple light scattering (SMLS) technology can qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the instability of the dispersion system without diluting the sample, and realize direct measurement under the actual storage conditions of the sample.

There are 17 organizations drafting the group standards for the static multiple light scattering method for the stability evaluation of particle technology dispersion systems: Beijing Landison Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Defang Nano Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing University Advanced Technology Industry Co., Ltd., China Metrology Scientific Research Institute, Beijing Physical and Chemical Analysis and Testing Center, Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Machine Productivity Promotion Center, South China Normal University, Zhuhai Truth Optical Instrument Co., Ltd., Beijing Coastal Hongmeng Reference Material Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Doppler Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., China Jiliang University, National Nanoscience Center, Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Chuangyuan Cosmetics Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Beijing Powder Technology Association.
