Polarimeter use method:

1. Insert the power plug of the instrument into the 220V AC power supply and connect the grounding pin to earth reliably.

2. Turn on the power switch, then the sodium light should turn on the light, subject to 5min sodium light preheating, making it light and stable.

3. Turn on the power switch (if the light switch is turned on, the sodium light is off, then turn the light switch up and down repeatedly 1 to 2 times to make the sodium light turn on in DC, as normal).

4. Open the measurement switch, then the digital tube should have a digital display.

5. Place a test tube filled with distilled water or other blank solvent in the sample compartment and close the lid. Wait for the number to stabilize and press the Clear button. If the bubbles in the test tube, you should let the bubbles float in the convex neck. Light fog at both ends of the water droplets, soft cloth 揩 dry. Test tube nut should not spin too tight, so as not to produce, affect the reading. Tube placement should pay attention to the location and orientation of the marker.

6. Remove the test tube, the test sample into the test tube, according to the same location and orientation into the sample chamber, cover the lid. The instrument display will show the optical rotation of the sample.

7. Press the retest button one by one, repeated several times to read, take the average as the sample measurement results.

8. If the sample exceeds the measurement range, the instrument oscillates ± 45. At this point, remove the test tube, open the lid back to the box by the zero button, the instrument automatically returns to zero.

9. After the instrument is used, turn off the measurement, light source, power switch.

10. Sodium lamp When the DC power supply system fails and can not be used, the instrument can also be tested with AC power from the sodium lamp, but the performance of the instrument may be slightly reduced.

11. When placing a small angle sample (less than 0.5 °), the display may change, then simply press the Retest button and a new number appears.
