Preparation And Precautions Before Using The Automatic Potentiometric Titrator

Leave a message

The automatic potentiometric titrator is an ideal capacity analysis instrument for chemical laboratories. It is suitable for the analysis of components in various industries such as environmental protection chemical schools, metallurgy and pharmaceuticals, for acid-base titration, redox titration, and non-aqueous titration. The instrument is also a 0.01-level high-precision PH meter, which can be used as a precision PH meter in the laboratory. This instrument has functions such as automatic titration, and the volume titration value has LED direct digital display. It is very convenient and intuitive whether it is hand-dropped or preset end point automatic titration.

Preparation before using the automatic potentiometric titrator:

1. Before starting up, check the instrument first. Check whether the normal use conditions of the instrument are fully guaranteed, whether the basic components are installed in place, and whether the connections of the supply pipelines are reliable. Check whether the various connections of the electrical circuit are matched and correct.

When using the composite electrode for testing, the electrical plug of the composite electrode should be inserted into the electrode socket (1); when using the measuring electrode and the reference electrode, the Q9 short-circuit plug should be inserted into the socket (1), and the other two electrodes should be connected to the measuring electrode. (2) Terminal (1) is connected. (Note: For any test, the electrode socket (1) must not be left empty).

2. If the titrant (such as silver nitrate AgNO3) that can produce precipitation or crystallization was used in the last test, the burette should be carefully cleaned to avoid crystallization and damage to the valve.

3. Do not replace the burette before starting. (The burette in use on the instrument must complete a refill action, and the piston can be replaced only when the piston is at the bottom dead center position).

4. Check the volume of the titrant, which should not be less than 5ml. If the "oxidation-reduction titration" mode is selected, the solution in the solution cup should not be less than 100ml.

5. The time interval between the last boot and the current boot shall not be less than 1 minute.

Precautions before using the automatic potentiometric titrator:

1. The input terminal (electrode socket) of the instrument must be kept dry and clean. When the instrument is not in use, insert the Q9 short-circuit plug into the socket to prevent the intrusion of dust and moisture.

2. When calibrating the instrument with a buffer solution, ensure the reliability of the buffer solution, and do not mix the wrong buffer solution, otherwise the measurement will be inaccurate.

3. During measurement, the lead-in lead of the electrode should be kept still, otherwise it will cause unstable measurement.

4. The external reference of the composite electrode (or calomel electrode) should always pay attention to the saturated potassium chloride solution and the replenisher can be added from the small hole at the top of the electrode.

5. After removing the electrode cover, avoid contact of the sensitive glass bulb of the electrode with hard objects, because any damage or scratching will cause the electrode to fail.

6. Avoid long-term immersion of the electrode in distilled water, protein solution and acid fluoride solution.

7. The electrode should avoid contact with silicone oil.

8. Before titration, rinse the solenoid valve rubber tube several times with drops.

9. After reaching the end point, you cannot press the "Titration Start" button, otherwise the instrument will start titration again.

10. Do not use potassium permanganate and other solutions that work with rubber hoses.
