Safety Precautions For Use Of Autoclave

Leave a message

Autoclave is a pressure vessel used to complete the process of vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, alkylation, polymerization, condensation, etc. it is widely used in petroleum, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, medicine, food and other industries, especially in chemical production.

As a special equipment, operators of autoclave must receive safety training, and pay special attention to the following safety precautions when using:

1. Before use, check whether all valves are smooth, especially the pipe orifice of pressure gauge and explosion-proof membrane. For the air inlet pipe, special attention shall be paid to whether there is blockage. If there is material pollution or blockage, the pipe and the air inlet pipe shall be removed from the kettle cover, cleaned and then installed.

2. After the autoclave body is cleaned and dried, the tightness inspection shall be carried out first. Put the kettle body into the heating furnace, align the protruding part with the groove, rotate the kettle body gently, and close the kettle body and the kettle cover slowly and stably after placing it stably. Pay special attention to the protection of the sealing surface and avoid the damage caused by the collision between the high-pressure kettle cover and the sealing ring of the kettle body. After the cover is completed, check whether the upper and lower interfaces of the reaction kettle are aligned, rotate the kettle cover slightly, and confirm that the kettle cover has been leveled and the sealing ring is in good contact. After the gasket is added, start to screw.

3. When checking the air tightness, check whether the valves (solid feeding port, kettle cover exhaust valve, air inlet valve, etc.) are tightened (just hold hard, do not use too much force, check that the mixing switch and speed regulating heating switch of the autoclave controller are set to zero, and do not use too much force to open the control) and do not use too much force to make the power supply and its display switch.

4. Connect the nitrogen cylinder and the air inlet of the autoclave through the conduit, and tighten the relevant screws. Open the main valve and the partial pressure valve of the nitrogen cylinder, first adjust the pressure of the partial pressure valve to the pressure required by the experiment, and then open the gas inlet valve of the high-pressure kettle to slowly fill the reactor. When the pressure value displayed by the reactor is the same as the set pressure on the nitrogen cylinder and does not change any more, close the inlet valve of the reactor and the gas outlet valve of the nitrogen cylinder in sequence, record the pressure value displayed by the reactor for half an hour Then observe whether the pressure changes.

5. In case of abnormal temperature and pressure rise, the heating switch shall be turned off quickly and the air shall be discharged manually to ensure the safety of the equipment.
