Spectrophotometer Overview

Leave a message

Spectrophotometry is the absorption of light at a specific wavelength or within a range of wavelengths for qualitative or quantitative analysis of the material. The commonly used wavelength ranges are: (1) 200-380 nm UV region, (2) 380-780 nm visible region, (3) 2.5-25 [mu]m (in terms of wave number, 4000 cm<-1>-400 cm<-1>) Infrared light area. The instrument used was an ultraviolet spectrophotometer, a visible spectrophotometer (or colorimeter), an infrared spectrophotometer, or an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. In order to ensure the precision and accuracy of the measurement, all instruments shall be regularly calibrated according to the national metrological verification regulations or the provisions of this appendix.
